Sabia Prescott
Sabia Prescott has spent nearly a decade working on education policy and legislation at every level. She believes fiercely in creating better opportunities for students whom our systems were not designed to serve. Sabia started her career at New America, researching and writing about inclusive teaching and learning and culturally responsive education. As part of this work, she convened folks across fields to think creatively about how to better support LGBTQ+ students and teachers. She also worked to bridge ed tech and inclusive education portfolios, researching applications for digital technology in culturally responsive classrooms. When inclusive education became a central part of national debates, Sabia transitioned to the Campaign for Our Shared Future, where she helped educate the field on restrictive education legislation.Sabia hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University. She lives in Chicago with her wife and cat.
